Are NYX and E.L.F cosmetics any good?

i was thinking about buying one of the two products,or even maybe both tomorrow. i was wondering if they have very pigmented eye shadows,or high quality. for the price,it seems like they would be crappy. but i am willing to give them a try. suggestions on what to try?(:
