Is it all satellite receivers have auto scan? do i still need to set it manually so it can find the satellite?

i have Yuri YP-300 DR and MAXPlus HTS3800SP, so i want to add more channel. After do some research on satellite receiver, it seem like all had already pre-set. I also read the manual, but i can find anything like channel adding. By the way, my satellite tv is working perfectly and done by some installer. So i plan to save some money to learn my self how to do it. hehehe p/s: that installing company will charge me even though i ask for small help. Forget about complain that company, i more willing to learn it myself
