Do you like the House of Night series?

I'm reading Marked and i really really hate it..its very slow paced. Like sure, it gets right to the problem on the second page, but I really want to read the Red Pyamid, but i have to finish marked first. Does it start to get good or anything? Im around page 140, where they are in Nyx's temple.
