Drugstore makeup in America... Help!!?

I am from the UK and for summer this year I'm going to America. I'm planning to get some makeup out there that we can't get here in the UK. Brands like wet & wild, NYX etc, and also ones that are cheaper like ELF. I would also like to purchase some higher end makeup like MAC, urban decay and a few things from sephora - but I know you can't go to the "drugstore" for these. In the UK we have shops like boots & superdrug that sell makeup and other various beauty things. In America can you only get "drugstore" products from the supermarket or are the specific shops like we have boots and superdrug? If so, what are they?
