How to stop auto correct from changing a word on your iPod?

When I'm on my iPod and type the word "Me". It comes up as "^me". With that arrow. How can i stop it from doing that? My iPod only does that with the word Me.... And the arrow gets very annoying. I still want to use auto correct but can I stop the arrow from showing up with that one word
