I think my last period was in April?

I was just thinking about it, my last period was in April and I don't remember one for May. Could this mean I am further along in pregnancy than thought? The doctor got a negative on May 16th and I got a positive on May 31st for pregnancy. I am scheduled for the first prenatal visit next thursday but I am wondering if I am already 8 weeks!
